Ti-6Al-7Nb, a vanadium-free α+β alloy, offers improved mechanical properties, corrosion resistance, and biocompatibility over pure titanium and vanadium-based alloys.
This study investigates its machinability in micro-milling, focusing on tool wear, burr formation, and surface defects.
Results indicate that four-flute milling enhances tool life and surface quality, with less wear and fewer defects than two-flute milling.
